African Women do what all people do.  In this election year, instead of focusing on voting for a woman because she is a woman like them, or an African man because he has African ancestry, African women do something else.  Like everyone else they look at the issues!  Who knew?  Its about time you did too!

Slavery or Genocide?

America has done both.  I don’t know which is worse.  American’s of African ancestry must still deal with their being “black” wether from european, asian or hispanic.  Sometimes even from within the American African culture by having designations like “high yellow”.  All of the new groups of today benefit from the genocide of the North American Indigenous people.  Quick question: If you are not an “Indian”, do you care about the genocide?  That attitude is the same the “Whites” had.It’s not about race.  It’s an excuse to take what other people have.   Gender, race, sexual orientation, religion, politics; anything that makes you different from me so I can take what you have. Me on top, you on bottom, by any means necessary.

99 cent Store – No Shame!

I saw a comic joke that if you saw a friend in a 99 cent store you didn’t have to ask how they were doing.  Well I’m here to tell you that you are doing well in part because you are in the 99 cent store!  Why should you pay four dollars for something you can get for 99 cents?  You work hard for your money, you should shop hard too!

Divorce – Of Course! Homo – Oh No!

If your church allows divorced persons to get married and does not allow same sex persons.  Pull out your bible and read.  I found one place in the new testament on homosexuality and five on divorce. Do you allow divorce because you are more comfortable with it?  Is it just a matter of opinion?  The bible or you the “authority”?    This language is meant to be provocative.  But read the New Testament and see how much it does speak against divorce.  How little about homosexuality.  Do you beat the anti-homosexuality drum and say nothing about divorce?  Are you divorced yourself?  Maybe you should be helping at a homeless shelter, a hospital, or other place where people need healing.  I don’t pretend to understand why people are homosexual.  But I am thankful that I am attracted to my opposite gender, I don’t know what I would do if I was attracted to my same gender in this world of 2008.  I believe in the future gender, will not be an issue.  Just as a woman of German ancestry marring a man of Irish ancestry in America is not an issue today.  But we are still working on ethnic background “race” and marriage.  I don’t believe homosexual marriage is biblical, I do believe it is American.  And I freely admit it would freak me out.  But other people’s rights should not hinge on whether or not I am comfortable.  And that is the core of the problem. 

The most important thing

The most important thing you can do while you are here on earth is to love other people.  This means help, heal, teach, easy pain and share.  Do not murder, rape, steal, torture or other wise do to a person not only you would not done to yourself, but do not do to another if they say No or Stop.

$8 Dollars a gallon or sacrifice your child

If you knew the United States could get out of the war in Iraq, but gas would be $8 dollars a gallon.  Would you agree to it?  If your child was drafted, would $8 dollars a gallon seem like so much then?  Why is it okay to sacrifice your neighbor’s child?
